The Stellar AP1231 Access Point is a very high performance indoor model from the OmniAccess Stellar range, designed for environments with a high density of users (lecture halls, open-plan offices, production sites). It is based on the 802.11ac Wave 2 (Wi-Fi 5) standard in a 4x4:4 MU-MIMO configuration. This AP carries three radios: two 4x4:4 radios dedicated to simultaneous transmission, a scanning radio for spectrum monitoring and security, plus a built-in Bluetooth Low Energy module for IoT and location services. It reaches an aggregate throughput of about 2.5 Gb/s and provides one 2.5 GbE port and one 1 GbE port for the network connection. Its antennas are integrated. The AP1231 operates in the Stellar distributed architecture, with no dedicated physical controller, and is managed through OmniVista Cirrus (cloud) or on-premises OmniVista.
