Stellar AP1201 Access Point | Wi-Fi 5

The Stellar AP1201 Access Point is an entry-level indoor model from the OmniAccess Stellar range, suited to offices, retail outlets and small businesses. It is based on the 802.11ac Wave 2 (Wi-Fi 5) standard in a 2x2:2 MU-MIMO configuration. It combines a 2.4 GHz radio and a 5 GHz radio for an aggregate throughput of about 1.2 Gb/s (867 Mb/s on 5 GHz and 300 Mb/s on 2.4 GHz), with integrated antennas. A Bluetooth Low Energy / Zigbee / Thread radio module is built in for IoT use cases (sensors, location). The AP1201 is deployed in the Stellar distributed architecture, with no dedicated physical controller: one AP in the cluster acts as the virtual controller. Management is handled through OmniVista Cirrus (cloud) or on-premises OmniVista, and the built-in DPI technology provides real-time application visibility.
