Distribution-layer Omada L2+ managed switch: 24 Gigabit RJ45 ports and 4 SFP+ 10G slots, 128 Gbps switching capacity, static routing and centralized Omada SDN management. Fanless 1U metal chassis. TP-Link datasheet (PDF).
The TP-Link Omada SG3428X is an L2+ managed switch designed for the distribution layer of enterprise networks. It combines 24 Gigabit copper ports and 4 SFP+ 10G uplinks to aggregate several access switches toward the network core without a bottleneck.
Key features
- 24 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports and 4 SFP+ 1/10 Gbps slots
- 128 Gbps switching capacity, 95.23 Mpps throughput, 16K MAC address table
- L2+ static routing (IPv4 and IPv6), up to 48 routes, IP interfaces, DHCP relay
- Security: L2 to L4 ACLs, IP-MAC-Port Binding, 802.1X, DoS Defend, DHCP Snooping
- L2/L3/L4 QoS, IGMP Snooping, 802.1Q VLAN, QinQ, ERPS for ring resiliency
- Centralized Omada SDN management (hardware, software or cloud controller) or standalone (web, CLI, SNMP, RMON)
- 19-inch rack-mountable 1U steel chassis, fanless design (silent)
Usage
Ideal as a 10G distribution or aggregation switch in an Omada infrastructure: it brings TP-Link Wi-Fi access points and access switches together under a single monitoring interface. IT1 Connect configures it and integrates it into your network, with compatible SFP+ transceivers included as needed.
