This upgrade moves your Stormshield virtual appliance to the EVA #2 model (up to 3 GB of RAM), from a lower-capacity EVA model that holds active maintenance. It increases the resources allocated to your virtual firewall to keep up with your traffic growth, without starting over with a new subscription.
The upgrade preserves the remaining maintenance of your current subscription and carries over the Stormshield protection baseline: IPS, IP address reputation, application control, antispam, firmware updates and certified partner support. It applies to an appliance that is already deployed, not to a first installation.
